Cupcakes Domed
Your cupcakes domed and cracked because the oven was too hot or the batter was overmixed. Level and add moisture.

The fix

- 1 level the domes with a serrated knife
- 2 brush the cut tops with 1 teaspoon milk each
- 3 frost and decorate to hide the seams

- make cake pops from the trimmed tops

Notes
Why this works
Doming is caused by rapid edge setting and a still-rising center. Leveling the tops and adding a touch of moisture evens out the texture and makes the cupcake feel intentional.
